The use of sildenafil (Viagra) in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men is widely recognized. However, the use of Viagra has also been reported to cause adverse events. A systematic review and meta-analysis of the results of Viagra adverse events in men treated with sildenafil demonstrated that men who took sildenafil had a greater risk of experiencing ED than those who did not. However, the findings were not consistent. A meta-analysis of all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of sildenafil showed that sildenafil was associated with a significantly greater risk of ED than placebo. A systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) found that the use of sildenafil had a significantly greater risk of ED than placebo. Sildenafil was also associated with a significantly higher incidence of ED than placebo. However, this risk was not seen in trials of sildenafil alone. A meta-analysis of RCTs showed that the risk of ED was not greater in sildenafil and placebo arms than sildenafil alone. Sildenafil is also associated with a greater risk of ED than sildenafil alone. The use of sildenafil may cause a decrease in erectile function and ED. The possibility that sildenafil may cause ED is further compounded by the fact that the association is not statistically significant. Our study found that men who took sildenafil had a significantly higher incidence of ED than those who did not. The risk of ED was not observed in trials of sildenafil alone. Our study found that sildenafil was associated with a significantly greater risk of ED than sildenafil alone. Although the incidence of ED was not statistically significant, it may be that the use of sildenafil may cause a decrease in erectile function and ED.
